Hey coffee lovers! Im gonna kick this blog post off with a big smile because I just got my free sample of Sight Glass Coffee beans out of San Francisco, CA and these beans are HOT!
When you check out Sight Glass Coffee Shop‘s free trial, they give you the option of roast to choose and I LOVE African coffees! Another cool thing is that they let you cancel the automatic subscription you authorize immediately, just in case you are a busy person and worried that you will forget.
Now what they send is about THREE solid servings worth of coffee made with an AEROPRESS. It’s about 3oz of coffee beans.
Sight Glass is NOT paying me or offering me any free coffee for this review. I am simply reviewing coffees from all over the world (mainly US coffee shops) to expand the horizon for others. I just enjoy coffee.

Summary of Coffee Roast
So this roast knocked me out of my shoes when I tried it. The sweet and tangy smells and flavors of honey and lemon that popped out immediately made me feel like I was getting a secret pour over from a snobby coffee shop.
When you have good coffee, it can turn a moment as dull as staring at a rock, into something mind blowingly epic. At least that’s how it happens to me sometimes. I remember having cups of coffee on my 5 am drive to work with a smile on my face because of coffee. Well this roast is surely a coffee to do just that!
Contrary to Sight Glass, I had gotten a trial Columbian Roast from Blue Bottle Coffee and was not a fan. I will save that review for another post but I thought it was worth mentioning so my readers dont get the wrong impression. Not everything I try, I end up liking. In fact, that is far from the case. I know that I like African coffees because they are sweeter but I’ve had terrible African coffees.
Coffee-Ratings.com Overall Rating
I am giving this coffee 5 out of 5 stars.
- Quality – freshness was gauranteed and arrived within 24 hours of the roast date.
- Flavor – The flavor was simple and bold. Even though I only tasted honey and lemon, they were prominent.
- Aroma – Like the honey and lemon, this coffee was strong with fruity and citrus aromas.
- Consistency – Every cup of coffee I brewed tasted the same.
- Flavor takes the fifth star. Excellent balance from the roasting and choice of beans made this coffee a winner!
Thanks for checking out this review, you can always order coffee from www.sightglasscoffee.com. Until the next one, adios!
